LATAM Lie-Flat Business to Lima from 60K Miles Each Way
Los Angeles (LAX) to Lima (LIM), Business, One Way.
LATAM opened lie-flat business class on its nonstop from Los Angeles to Lima for 60,000 Japan Airlines miles one way — 85,000 round-trip — plus roughly $60 in taxes each direction. Cash on the same November nonstop was running about $2,274 one way, which puts this at roughly 3.7 cents per mile. Two other doors priced the identical seat: 76,000 Finnair Avios or 95,000 Virgin Atlantic points each way, the latter dropping to about 74,000 with a 30% transfer bonus. Space came in weekly on Wednesdays from late October through mid-January, and it was bookable for two or more passengers — including December 24 and December 31.

Prefer Finnair? Finnair charged 76,000 Avios and could not be booked online for LATAM. Call or chat with a live agent and ask them to check LATAM business class availability on your dates. Giving them the flight numbers speeds things up considerably.
Prefer Virgin Atlantic? Virgin was the only fully online option at 95,000 points. Create a free account, choose "Search for Reward Flights," then filter the results to Direct, LATAM, and Business Class.
Search round-trip from the U.S. to surface the Lima-to-Los Angeles space. One-way out of Lima could not be booked on Virgin's website — that one required a phone call to reservations.
