Finnair business class from Miami to Helsinki for 58,000 AAdvantage miles each way plus $6 in taxes — the first time in years this cabin was bookable with American or Alaska miles. Cash on the same December 27 nonstop was running about $2,834 one-way, which puts this at roughly 4.88 cents per mile, one of the strongest transatlantic business redemptions of the winter. Helsinki was the nonstop, but the same 58,000-mile rate covered onward Finnair connections to twelve more cities: Berlin, Copenhagen, Gdansk, Gothenburg, Krakow, Oslo, Riga, Rovaniemi, Stockholm, Tallinn, Vilnius, and Warsaw. Availability was capped at two seats per date and ran December through April, with New Year's Eve among the dates that were live.

Set Class to "Business / First" and run MIA to HEL.

Filter for Nonstop to isolate the Finnair MIA–HEL flight. If your home airport is not Miami, American could often route you through MIA on the same award.
For any of the twelve onward cities, use advanced search and add HEL as a connecting airport. That surfaces the Finnair connection beyond Helsinki at the same 58,000-mile rate.
Confirm the seat is live on screen, then transfer your points and ticket immediately. Do not transfer first.
