Nationwide → Brisbane Economy November 2026 (Delta SkyMiles Flash Sale)
Nationwide Delta SkyMiles Sale to Australia & New Zealand from 30K Round-Trip
Los Angeles (LAX) to Brisbane (BNE), Economy, Round Trip.
Delta dropped round-trip award pricing to Brisbane to 30,000 SkyMiles from Los Angeles and roughly 100 other cities — a route that normally runs 100K or more. Auckland priced at 40K round-trip from nearly everywhere. Best availability landed in November, the start of peak season down there. Cash fares on the same LAX–Brisbane dates were checking in around $925 round-trip, so 30K plus about $115 in taxes works out to 2.7 cents per point — and 3.2 cents if you hold a Delta co-branded Amex. LAX was the only nonstop in the entire sale.
Open delta.com and switch on "Shop with Miles" before you search. Skip this and you'll only see cash fares.
Set your nearest departure city as the origin and Brisbane (BNE) as the destination. Auckland (AKL) priced 10K higher from most cities, so check both if New Zealand is the goal.
Search a wide range of dates, then open the Price Calendar to see a full month of award pricing at once. September through December had availability, but November was the sweet spot.
Filter to Nonstop if you're departing LAX. Everyone else connects, usually through LAX.
Confirm the fare is showing at your target mileage number, then decide on the Main Cabin upgrade before you pay — it's your only chance to lock in a seat assignment.
Transfer Amex points to Delta only once the award seat is confirmed on screen. Transfers are one-way and cannot be reversed.
Finish the booking. Expect $100–$130 in taxes and fees round-trip.
