Nationwide → Italy Economy Nov 2026–Jan 2027 (Flying Blue & Virgin Atlantic Sale)

Nationwide Italy Sale — Nonstop Delta Economy from 44K Points Round-Trip

New York (JFK) to Milan (MXP), Economy, Round Trip.

Nonstop Delta economy to Italy from 52,000 Air France-KLM Flying Blue miles round-trip — or roughly 44,000 Citi ThankYou points if you route it through the current 20% transfer bonus. New York to Milan is the cheapest door in, with nonstop award space also open to Rome, Venice, and Sicily from Atlanta, Boston, Detroit, Minneapolis, and New York. I priced the same JFK–Milan nonstop at about $671 round-trip in cash for late November, and that fare is Basic Economy — the award is Main Cabin with a checked bag, seat assignment, and meals included. Availability runs November through January and covers Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Eve.

  1. Open a free Flying Blue account on Air France's site. You cannot search award space without one, and it takes about two minutes.

  2. Log in, click "Book with Miles," and search from your nearest departure city to Milan, Rome, Venice, or Catania.

  3. Search one direction at a time first. Select Economy and look for the nonstop Delta flight — connections price higher and defeat the point of this deal.

  4. Once you have confirmed space in both directions, re-run the search as a round-trip and keep that result on screen.

  5. Only now transfer your points. Move the exact amount you need and nothing more — transfers are one-way and cannot be reversed.

  6. Complete the booking as soon as the miles land. If Air France's site fails to show Delta flights, try KLM.nl or the Air France app — same inventory, more reliable rendering.

  7. Prefer Virgin Atlantic instead? Create a Virgin Flying Club account, choose "Search for Reward Flights," filter to Direct and Economy, and look for the Delta flights at 30,000 points each way.
