Nationwide → KEF Economy September 2026 (Delta SkyMiles Sale)

Nationwide Delta SkyMiles Sale to Iceland from 16K Round-Trip

Boston (BOS) to Reykjavik (KEF), Economy, Round Trip.

Delta ran a SkyMiles flash sale to Reykjavik with round-trip Basic Economy from 16,000 miles plus roughly $70 in taxes — down from the 50,000+ this route normally commands. Boston is the featured city, but ten departure cities priced in the same window, with nonstops from New York JFK and Minneapolis. Paid fares for the same September dates were running about $446 round-trip, which puts this redemption at roughly 2.35 cents per mile. Delta SkyMiles Amex cardholders got another 15% off, taking Boston down to about 13,600 miles.

  1. Go to delta.com and check the "Shop with Miles" box before you search. If you skip this, results price in dollars and you will never see the award rate.

  2. Search from your nearest departure city to Reykjavik (KEF), round-trip, with dates somewhere in September 2026.

  3. On the results page, switch to "Price Calendar." It shows the widest range of dates at once and makes the cheapest days obvious instead of clicking through one date at a time.

  4. Apply the "Nonstop" filter if you are flying from New York JFK or Minneapolis. Every other city connects through a Delta hub, so leave the filter off elsewhere or you will see empty results.

  5. Confirm the fare class before you pay. Basic Economy is the 16,000-mile rate. Main Cabin runs about 11,000 miles more and is the one to pick if you want a seat assignment or the ability to cancel.

  6. If you hold a Delta SkyMiles American Express card, the 15% award discount applies automatically at checkout — you do not need a code.

  7. Short on miles? Transfer from Amex Membership Rewards only after the award space is confirmed on screen. Transfers are instant but permanent.
