Alaska is pricing round-trip award tickets to Tahiti at 50K Atmos points and Fiji at 60K — down from the usual 80K+. Separately, American is charging just 56K miles round-trip on nonstop flights to Fiji. Cash for the same LAX–Papeete nonstop in November runs about $1,117, so 50K points plus ~$110 in taxes works out to roughly 2.0 cents per point. LAX is the featured city here, but dozens of others price the same, including nonstops from San Francisco and Honolulu.
Go to alaskaair.com and select "Use points" plus "Flexible dates."
Enter your full passenger count. Search one direction at a time — availability is much easier to spot that way.
Scan the calendar for dates at 25K–30K each way. A round-trip search shows the combined total, so expect to see roughly double.
Sort and filter by stops, points, and duration to find clean connections. Some trial and error is normal.
Once you've found availability in both directions, re-search those exact dates as a round-trip and book.
For Fiji nonstops via American: search aa.com, choose "Redeem Miles," open the Calendar tab, and filter to Nonstop. Only nonstops hit the 56K rate.
