The same seat was selling for about $1,909 one-way in cash, which works out to 3.17 cents per mile. Award space was best January through March, and both directions were bookable one-way. Go to aa.com and switch the search to "Redeem miles."
Select "One way" and enter your full passenger count. Award space is priced per seat, so a 2-passenger search hides any date with only one seat left.
Set Class to "Business / First," then search.
Open the "Calendar" tab to see a full month of award pricing at once instead of clicking through dates one by one.
Filter results to "Nonstop" and look for the 60K SEA–NRT flight.
